Skrapkatz is located in Singleton, an easy half-hour drive from the vineyards and wineries of the Hunter Valley region of NSW, and is situated above a tenpin bowling alley, with plenty of parking right at the door.
The Skrapkatz store is cosy yet the workshop area is extremely spacious as it is located on the mezzanine level overlooking the bowling lanes. This means that while you scrap your family can enjoy a game of bowling, which is discounted for just that reason. There is a play area and arcade games to keep the kids amused - which leaves you with plenty of time to shop without distractions - plus the whole family can also grab a bite to eat in the café downstairs.
After school scrapping workshops for kids are held on Thursdays at 4.30pm, with birthday parties also available. Weekly classes run on a Wednesday evening and a Thursday morning.
Scrapbooking Memories Master 2006 Libby Morris teaches on a regular basis and, along with others, brings a variety of inspiring ideas and techniques to the weekly classes.
Skrapkatz has a sewing machine, Sizzix, Bind It All, Dreamkutz machine, embossing tools, stamps, paper trimmers and shape cutters available for people to use for a nominal fee whenever the shop is open. The store holds retreats twice a year in September and March; these retreats are fully catered for and are in modern lodge style accommodation. ‘Crop till you drop’ days are also held throughout the year, with many great prizes to be won.
